Lee Yi-kyung Sues Over Viral Rumors; Also Calls Out 'Hangout with Yoo' Lee Yi-kyung Sues Over Viral Rumors; Also Calls Out 'Hangout with Yoo' 등록일2025.11.21 Actor Lee Yi-kyung says he has filed a criminal complaint against “A,” the individual who ignited rumors about his private life. His statement also includes pointed frustration toward MBC's variety series 'Hangout with Yoo,' which he recently left ― a revelation likely to stoke further controversy. On the 21st, Lee addressed the issue directly for the first time in a post on his social media. Sharing a copy of the complaint, Lee said he reported A for blackmail and for defamation by false information under Korea's Information and Communications Network Act. He explained that he'd stayed silent at his agency's request “until we completed the criminal filing against the distributor.” He added that he recently gave a statement at the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul and “finished the procedures for charges related to blackmail and defamation by falsehood.” “I was furious at every turn,” he wrote, describing how someone claiming to be German “kept appearing and disappearing,” sending threatening emails to his company months ago. “The agency calmed me down, saying there was no reason to get into a truth battle over false claims. The person said it was fabricated and vanished within a day, but because of that, I was advised to step down from a variety show ― and we chose to voluntarily leave.” Lee recently exited 'Hangout with Yoo,' where he'd been a cast member for three years. Producers previously said he had scheduling conflicts, including overseas work, and had expressed his intention to depart. Lee, however, contends he was asked to leave, highlighting a clear discrepancy between the two accounts. He also revisited the show's past “noodle-slurping” bit that drew backlash. “I clearly said I didn't want to do it, but they pleaded because they'd rented the noodle shop,” he wrote, adding that his on-camera line ― “I'm doing this for laughs!” ― was edited out. “When the controversy erupted, the producers only said they'd been in a rush. I had to shoulder the fallout alone, and my image took a major hit.” Lee further claimed that another variety program told him he'd appear only via pre-taped VCR segments, but he later learned from news reports that he'd been replaced. He appeared to reference KBS2's 'The Return of Superman,' from which he stepped down as an MC. Despite the turmoil, Lee emphasized that his filming schedule remains intact. He recently wrapped the movie “Sedae Yugam” (working title) and said his Vietnamese film, overseas drama, and variety shoots are proceeding as planned. He added, “Once a warrant is issued, the suspect will be identified soon. Even if they're in Germany, I'll go there in person to file the complaint. There will be no leniency for malicious commenters.” Lee closed by thanking fans and colleagues who stood by him, including the teams behind 'I Am Solo,' 'Brave Detectives,' and 'Handsome Guys.' The controversy began when A posted what were alleged to be KakaoTalk and Instagram DM exchanges with someone presumed to be Lee, featuring requests for explicit photos along with profanity and sexual language. Lee's agency, Sangyoung ENT, vowed legal action ― after which A apologized, claiming the posts were AI-generated fakes. What seemed like a resolution didn't last. A later reversed course on social media, insisting the messages were “not AI.” On the 19th, A wrote, “I said everything was a lie because I was scared ― of being sued, of having to pay money, of burdening my family. I've never used AI that way. Everything I posted was real.” That same day, Lee's side announced it had filed criminal charges against A for blackmail and defamation under the Information and Communications Network Act, pledging a strong legal response to “malicious acts by the author and distributors” that caused significant harm to the actor and his agency. Festival Darling 'The Square' Sets January 2026 Korea Release Festival Darling 'The Square' Sets January 2026 Korea Release 등록일2025.11.21 The Square (director Kim Bo-sol), a festival-circuit standout with invitations from 25 festivals and six wins to date, has locked in a Korea theatrical release for January 2026. The animated feature follows Bori, a civil servant who must return to her homeland; Bok-ju, who has to let go of the future they imagined together; and Myung-jun, an interpreter who watches the pair in silence. After making its world premiere as the closing film in competition at the 27th Udine Far East Film Festival, The Square drew early buzz at the 49th Annecy International Animation Film Festival, where it became the only Korean title to claim a main prize, winning the Contrechamp Jury Award. Since then, the film has underscored its craftsmanship with a string of honors, including Best Director at the 29th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival, the Grand Prize in the Mirinae section at the 21st Seoul Indie-AniFest, and Best Film at the 20th Anim'est International Animation Film Festival. Two launch posters unveiled on the 21st bottle up tender feelings blooming amid a lonely, precarious mood. The first shows Bori and Bok-ju riding a bicycle through a snow-dusted The Square at night. Paired with a rave from The Austin Chronicle ― “Even the idea that a small light can ignite in someone's chest makes this a film you'll hold most dear” ― the imagery teases how their predestined goodbye might stay with audiences. Touted as a breakout creator to watch, Kim Bo-sol completed The Square after a five-year, eleven-month journey. “'The Square' is about human loneliness and the possibility that blossoms within the impossible. A small team poured our hearts into it over many years. I hope this film becomes a quiet echo that lingers with you for a long time. Thank you for your interest and support,” Kim said in a statement following the release-date news. The Square opens across Megabox locations nationwide and select arthouse theaters in January 2026. Jang Ki-yong Saves Ahn Eun-jin; Dynamic Kiss' Hits Series High, Peaks at 7.8% Jang Ki-yong Saves Ahn Eun-jin; Dynamic Kiss' Hits Series High, Peaks at 7.8% 등록일2025.11.21 SBS's Wednesday-Thursday rom-com Dynamic Kiss keeps climbing. According to Nielsen Korea, Episode 4, which aired Thursday night, scored 6.5% in the Seoul metropolitan area and 6.3% nationwide―another series high. It led its time slot across all networks and ranked No. 1 among weekday miniseries. The episode's peak minute spiked to 7.8%, while the 20?49 key demo hit a peak of 2.29%, topping all Thursday broadcasts and signaling major buzz. The latest episode doubled down on misunderstandings and swoons as Gong Ji-hyuk (Jang Ki-yong) spectacularly misread Go Da-rim (Ahn Eun-jin) as a married mom―and still couldn't shake his feelings. When Da-rim landed in real danger, Ji-hyuk made a movie-worthy entrance to pull her out, capping the hour with a hero moment that had viewers cheering. Earlier, Ji-hyuk tossed a hard-won report from Da-rim and the “Mother TF” task force into a swimming pool. Even though she can't swim, Da-rim dove in, started flailing, and Ji-hyuk jumped after her. Their underwater eye contact―pressed close, breathless―was pure heart-stopper. From there, Ji-hyuk's gruff-on-the-outside, soft-on-the-inside side kicked in. He coolly marked up her report with useful notes, then bundled the soaked Da-rim into his car, draped a jacket over her, and cranked the heat. When loan sharks showed up, he grabbed her hand and ran. Sparks were flying―until Da-rim's “fake husband,” Kim Sun-woo (Kim Moo-jun), crashed the moment and flipped the vibe on its head. A hospital run for his mother brought Ji-hyuk face-to-face with Da-rim and her mom, and he finally understood why Da-rim is desperate to keep her job. “Let's not bring that up again―I'll forget it,” he said, ultimately accepting her onto the Mother TF team. Da-rim told herself it was a relief he'd “forget the kiss,” but the emptiness said otherwise. Work threw them together again at a live-commerce event, where an accidental onstage kiss set off fresh fireworks. Ji-hyuk later tracked down a missed giveaway for Da-rim and stepped between her and a scolding manager: “She's on my team. If there's blame, it's mine―and so is the responsibility.” Try as he might, his soft spot for Da-rim keeps slipping out, and viewers are loving it. Then came the cliffhanger: Da-rim was abducted by loan sharks demanding she repay her missing brother's debt. Tied up and threatened, she looked doomed―until Ji-hyuk cut through the darkness like a superhero. Flashing a black card and a killer grin, he coolly offered, “I'll buy it. How much? Do you take cards?” The shot of Ji-hyuk's gleaming smile, the black card, and Da-rim's shock closed the episode on a high. Episode 4 bottled the fizzy thrill of a modern rom-com, charting two people who fell for each other after a “force-of-nature” kiss only to become reluctant enemies―yet can't stop getting pulled back in. Jang Ki-yong and Ahn Eun-jin's playful, ever-sparklier chemistry continues to shine with each episode. Dynamic Kiss airs Wednesdays and Thursdays at 9 p.m. KST. (SBS Entertainment News | Kang Sun-ae)
LE SSERAFIM Plays to 80,000 at Tokyo Dome, Pledges to Be 'Artists Fans Are Proud of' LE SSERAFIM Plays to 80,000 at Tokyo Dome, Pledges to Be 'Artists Fans Are Proud of' 등록일2025.11.20 LE SSERAFIM wrapped two blockbuster nights at Tokyo Dome, drawing roughly 80,000 fans in total. The nearly 200-minute set doubled as a victory lap for the quintet's airtight chemistry and performance power, with relentless cheers rumbling through the cavernous stadium from start to finish. The five girls made their Tokyo Dome debut on Nov. 18?19 with the “2025 LE SSERAFIM TOUR 'EASY CRAZY HOT' ENCORE IN TOKYO DOME,” the encore to their first world tour, which logged 27 shows across 18 cities in Korea, Japan, Asia and North America. Before doors even opened, the area around the Dome turned into a festival ground: fans sang along to LE SSERAFIM's hits and filmed dance-challenge clips, while nearby convenience stores were swarmed by people snagging copies of five major sports dailies―Sports Nippon, Daily Sports, Nikkan Sports, Sports Hochi and Sankei Sports―which splashed the group's Dome debut across their front pages. Their footing in Japan was unmistakable. As anticipation peaked, a triangular LED wall split like fireworks to reveal the five members, who kicked things off with “Ash,” a track from their fifth mini album released in March. They kept the pace with “HOT,” “Come Over,” “Swan Song” and “Pearlies (My Oyster Is the World),” circling the venue on stage carts to greet fans up close and keep energy levels sky-high. A run featuring “SPAGHETTI (Member Ver.),” “Eve, Psyche && The Bluebeard's Wife,” “CRAZY” and “1-800-HOT-N-FUN” marked the night's highlight. When the intros for “SPAGHETTI (Member Ver.)” and last year's fourth EP title track “CRAZY” hit, the Dome erupted. Lightning-shaped lights swept the ceiling as sheet lasers amped up the spectacle. In a newly added dance break, the five delivered razor-sharp, in-sync choreography that spotlighted their rock-solid teamwork. The hit parade continued with “FEARLESS,” “UNFORGIVEN (feat. Nile Rodgers)” and “ANTIFRAGILE,” a high-octane stretch that had the crowd in a frenzy. Later, they flipped the mood with a sweet, playful turn on “Kawaii (Prod. Gen Hoshino)” alongside Sanrio favorites My Melody and Kuromi. “We wanted you to see how much heart we put into every stage,” the group told the crowd near the end. “With FEARNOT by our side, we feel like we can chase even bigger dreams. You've made us believe it's okay to dream big―and we want to make those dreams real and take you with us to the best places.” They added a promise: “We'll be artists you can always be proud of,” and thanked one another “for running toward the same dream together.” LE SSERAFIM will keep the momentum going on Nov. 28 at COUNTDOWN JAPAN 25/26, the country's biggest year-end indoor music festival. Their debut single “SPAGHETTI” surpassed 100,000 units shipped in Japan in about four days, earning a fifth straight RIAJ Gold certification for a Korean release―the first time a fourth-generation K-pop girl group has achieved that streak.
