Epik High Is Having a Moment: 'Love Love Love' & 'Fan' Climb Back Up the Charts
Epik High's catalog is having a bona fide resurgence, with the trio's past hits not only climbing back up the charts but also being rediscovered across the K-pop landscape. “Love Love Love (Feat. Yoong Jin of Casker)” has reignited public interest thanks to a steady chart rebound―and it's catching fresh fire as idol artists jump in organically. On TikTok and Reels, a wave of fan-made clips and challenge videos has pushed the track beyond a simple comeback into full-on cultural moment territory. Leading the charge: fourth- and fifth-gen acts like IVE, TWICE, ENHYPEN, KiiiKiii, NCT WISH, and TWS, who've been referencing the song across short-form content, stages, and fan meets. Even g.o.d's Danny Ahn gave it a nod at a fan event, underscoring its cross-generational appeal. The ripple effect is pulling other Epik High staples back into the spotlight, too. “Fan” is popping up in performances and content from younger groups including CRAVITY and BOYNEXTDOOR, keeping the track's message and iconography alive. Meanwhile, “Fly (Feat. Amin.J of Soulciety)” recently got a fresh spotlight at MBC's Gayo Daejejeon, performed by CORTIS―proof that these songs still resonate well beyond their original era. More than a mere chart blip, the moment speaks to enduring songwriting and a rare dialogue between generations. Epik High's lyricism and emotional depth have always had staying power, and this renewed momentum―fueled by fellow artists and fans alike―shows that impact is still unfolding in real time. Expect the trio to keep that energy going in 2026 with varied projects and more touchpoints with both fans and junior artists. Photo= OURS (SBS Entertainment News | Kang Kyung-youn)

'The Game Caterers x Starship' Returns: From Song Seung-heon's Palanquin to IVE Not Being the Youngest Anymore
Starship Entertainment's roster reunited for The Game Caterers x Starship Sports Day , marking the franchise's first Starship special in three years. The Nov. 5 premiere of tvN's The Game Caterers saw 38 Starship artists show up for an all-out company field day. Actors Song Seung-heon, Lee Dong-wook, Yoo Yeon-seok, Lee Kwang-soo, Kim Bum, Son Woo-hyun, Chae Soo-bin, Shin Seung-ho, Kim Kyung-nam and Ahn Ji-hwan joined K-pop acts K.Will, MONSTA X, WJSN, CRAVITY, IVE, KiiiKiii and IDID, competing under producer Na Young-seok's (aka Na PD) watch. Before the games kicked off, the entrances delivered plenty of personality. Rookie KiiiKiii walked in looking adorably tense, MONSTA X marched in with sharp salutes, and WJSN set the tone with a breezy, playful vibe right from the gate. Then came Actor Team 1, with Lee Kwang-soo shouting, “Song Seung-heon is here!” Amid mock chaos as juniors tried to hoist him up, Song finally leaned into the bit―riding a palanquin for a grand, tongue-in-cheek entrance that had everyone cracking up. Actor Team 2 followed, led by Lee Dong-wook, with resident chatterbox Yoo Yeon-seok keeping the banter flowing. IVE, who were the babies of the lineup three years ago, made it clear that era is over. “We're not the youngest anymore,” they teased, warmly hyping up newcomer KiiiKiii like true seniors. CRAVITY kept the comedy rolling as Wonjin dropped a witty acrostic on cue, signaling variety-show MVP energy to come. Pre-debut group IDID also made a memorable first impression with a quirky greeting―right before “eldest brother” Song Seung-heon, still perched on the makeshift palanquin crafted by Lee Kwang-soo and Kim Bum, offered them some big-brother words of wisdom for a hearty laugh. With even “board member” K.Will taking his seat, the Second Annual Starship Company Outing was officially underway. Lunch was on the line next, with teams battling in a chaotic “perfect pitch” challenge for plates of grilled pork ribs. IVE's An Yujin―battle-tested thanks to tvN's Earth Arcade 3―set the bar with a flawless demo. The rest was endearingly messy but hilarious, and after a do-over round, every team but Actor Team 2 earned their ribs. Dejected, Actor Team 2 cut a deal with Na PD; thanks to Lee Dong-wook's relentless effort, they scored at least a modest share and a big cheer. Even the van rides doubled as variety gold. Song Seung-heon led a group selfie session, and the caravan turned into a rolling dance floor as they vibed to KiiiKiii's new single “DANCING ALONE,” MONSTA X's “N the Front,” IVE's “XOXZ,” CRAVITY's “SET NET G0?!,” WJSN's Dayoung's solo “Body,” and IDID's pre-debut track “Shine in Our Own Way.” At the next venue, the artists launched into the First Starship National Sports Festival. When the initial rosters didn't add up, confusion quickly turned to surprise―they were being sorted by hometown. After a reshuffle into six teams, it was game on. From group jump rope to dodgeball on acupressure mats, the competition delivered peak slapstick. Song Seung-heon kept his cool and comedic timing even as juniors roasted him, and the whole day felt refreshingly earnest―seniors and rookies alike just having genuine fun with the rivalry and the ridiculousness. WJSN DAYOUNG Nabs First Solo Win on 'The Show' ― And Proves She Is Impossible Not to Love
Persistence paid off. As WJSN marks its ninth anniversary, DAYOUNG stepped out on her own ― and just 15 days after releasing her debut solo single, she clinched her first music-show trophy. On the Sept. 23 broadcast of SBS M/SBS FiL's The Show, DAYOUNG took home The Show Choice with the title track Body from her solo debut release gonna love me, right? Fighting back tears onstage, she told fans, I've wanted to feel loved for so long ― thank you for giving me so much love. For her encore, WJSN's BONA, EXY and YEONJUNG, along with CRAVITY's HYEONGJUN, joined DAYOUNG onstage, turning the celebration into a sweet display of camaraderie. DAYOUNG was hands-on with the project, steering the planning, concept and even the music video to introduce herself not just as an idol, but as an artist. Ahead of promotions, she unveiled a striking makeover ― shedding about 12 kilograms and swapping her bright, bubbly image for a tanned, bleached and more mature edge that matches the song's candid, provocative spirit. Word of mouth kicked in fast: the track hit No. 1 on VIBE's Soaring Chart on Sept. 21 and entered Melon's Top 100 at No. 89 the following day, momentum that culminated in her music-show win two weeks post-debut. Since debuting with WJSN in 2016, DAYOUNG has kept busy ― from the sub-unit WJSN CHOCOME to becoming the youngest champion on King of Mask Singer. Now, nine and a half years later, her solo debut stamps her name once again, this time on her own terms. Onstage, her mix of confidence and earnest hunger makes it easy to see why fans can't help but love her. (SBS Entertainment News | Kang Kyung-youn)

새롭게 시작하는 '더쇼'는 ARrC(아크), Hearts2Hearts(하츠투하츠), I:MOND(아이몬드), ONE PACT(원팩트), RESCENE(리센느), XODIAC(소디엑), ZEROBASEONE, 규빈, NouerA(누에라), 엔젤노이즈, 최수환의 무대와 함께한다.
